辛梅里亚地大物广，然而其弱小的政权早已被普兰卡情报机关渗透完全，在地缘政治利益上同USF分歧严重的普兰卡公国收到风声后很快就作出反应。1995年新年伊始，依靠强大的国防动员能力和压倒性的机械化武装，普兰卡军队在一个月内席卷了辛梅里亚北部，几乎没有遭遇像样的反抗。

同年2月2日，普兰卡陆军通过对辛国首都凯洛斯堡的奇袭掳走了辛国元首赫塔·贝尔格；随队的普兰卡摄影师马克西姆·涅果金，摄下了大公亲卫队长奥兰多·布兰度爬上凯洛斯堡塔楼为其改旗易帜的瞬间——《征服》随即成为划时代且饱受争议的摄影作品⁶。首都陷落寂静无声，只有塔楼顶端的辛梅里亚旗帜被仓促降下，换上的新旗帜在二月的寒风中僵硬地抖动。

同月底，在赫塔和普兰卡大公几次象征性的“和谈会面”之后，辛梅里亚成为普兰卡实际的附庸国。普兰卡控制包括“辛梅里亚——欧洲联合⁷边境线”在内的辛梅里亚大部分地区，新政府、新军队、新体制也由普兰卡人一手操办，而赫塔下台后不知所踪至今。

当然，辛梅里亚人没有投降，最具影响力的抵抗力量是“自由辛梅里亚”运动麾下的“辛梅里亚革命军”（Revolutionary Army of Cimmeria，RAC）。残余的RAC游击武装和外国志愿军仍然在辛国的边缘地区同普兰卡军队作战，地下抵抗组织也在各大城市酝酿着，但真正的转机发生在3月14日：在同一天，大部分USF成员国宣布将赞成采取行动“制止普兰卡的侵略行径”，以其国家元首的名义公开支持辛梅里亚境内的反抗力量。

尽管这些声明无一提及USF，USF也从未对普兰卡方面发表公开评论，但在同一天，自称为“RAC国际志愿军”（IRAC）的部队从欧洲联合境内的USF武装设施出发，集结了各国的正规军、佣兵和国际志愿军，以“辛梅里亚革命军”的名义开向辛梅里亚边境——这就是普兰卡战争（The Plankan War）的开端。

时至今日，关于外部介入的动机与战后处置的偏颇，普兰卡战争的争议仍未平息。笔者无意在此考据个中缘由，但一个无可否认的事实是：普兰卡战争在重塑两国地缘政治的同时，也为两个国家同样悠久的文学提供了一座前所未有的熔炉。炮火不仅洗礼了土地，更淬炼了理念；外部力量的介入与历史走向的错杂，为叙事注入了巨大的张力。正是在这片极端撕裂的焦土上，诞生了一批杰出的文学家和作品：

辛梅里亚作家卡洛斯·冈萨雷斯战时在辛国首都凯洛斯堡的地下报社《独立报》⁸工作，为抵抗组织撰写传单；他用于排版《独立报》的铅字，有一部分是从被炸毁的国立印刷厂废墟中捡回的。这种抗争经历为他日后创作出“反抗哲学”小说《普罗米修斯》、话剧《审查限制》、文艺论述《艺术的抗争》提供了坚实的文学土壤，其本人也成为辛国方面的辛梅里亚革命文学代表人物。

瓦伦西亚⁹记者卢卡斯·蒙多维随着IRAC志愿军从欧洲联合出发，将所见所得撰为报告文学《瑟兰达尔的松涛》¹⁰；其随IRAC行军期间的多部报告著作成为USF国家乃至普兰卡方面研究普兰卡战争的重要史料，辛梅里亚方面更是将其编为课文和必读书目纂入学校课本，《瑟兰达尔的松涛》以其战争报道经历的惊险和戏剧性最负盛名；卢卡斯本人也被辛梅里亚政府授予“永久友好”勋章。

身为普兰卡士兵的尼古拉·波佩斯库用孤独的诗句记录下战场，遗作诗集《荒原断章》战后反响热烈；其诗作常常描绘壕沟、要塞和阵地的景致，以及自身的见闻，辅以迷蒙的语言和分割，代表诗作为《旱荒》、《圆桌》、《分成两半的普兰卡骑士》。尼古拉本人已于1997年的第五次瑟兰达尔会战中身故，正值停战协议签署前夕¹¹，他阵亡时，衣袋内除了未寄出的家书，是一张写了几行诗的烟盒纸；此后经5名战友前赴后继的保存，最终幸存的士兵马克斯·普拉兰代其保管诗稿直至战后，遵照其遗愿送至普兰卡维吉尔诗社进行出版；2001年，经过各方拉锯和角力，国际文学艺术学会同意为尼古拉追发1997年的年度文学奖。

辛梅里亚出身的普兰卡活动家索菲亚·比安奇的散文集《我与最后的赌注》，忠实记录了战时辛梅里亚普兰卡占领区的社会生活；她生于凯洛斯堡，战前曾在普兰卡大学修读社会学。全书没有一处直接描写战争场面，却处处可见战争的投影：从不谈论战争、只讨论J·阿杜尔克的画，最终在瑟兰达尔前线战死的占领军无名中尉；每天挪动花瓶为抵抗组织打暗号，却不知接头人早已被捕处决的老妇人；“最后的赌注”在书中出现了三次：第一次是母亲病榻前，母亲说“我赌你会活下去”¹²。她的口音让普兰卡士兵视其为“自己人”，她的出生地却让抵抗者视其为背叛者。

法比安·沃伦和他的小说则是另一种“背叛者”¹³——渴望参军却因家庭背景被赫塔政权军队拒绝，最终在1980年的“佣兵热”中远走海外，也因此被赫塔政权解除国籍，不得入境¹⁴。15年后，他以IRAC雇佣兵的身份回到故国，被所属师团指派为与RAC的沟通员。他的小说《国境边缘》以士兵的视角写就，将战争凝练为骨感的剪影：青年国际主义者的墓碑、“外国解放者”旗帜下的阴影、行刑者扣下扳机前的不决、辛梅里亚人冲向机枪的背影、以及旁观这一切，只在乎下一笔佣金的雇佣兵的麻木……因其毫不妥协的复杂性，本书在普兰卡与大部分USF国家均遭到审查（尽管删减之处截然不同）¹⁵。

这些作者之间可能立场、观念分歧甚至有所冲突，不同方面对其评论也呈两极分化，后人习惯把这些在此一时期涌现、集中反映普兰卡战争（辛国方面称“辛梅里亚革命战争”）的作品统一称为一个文学流派，“辛梅里亚革命文学”：属于普兰卡战争的文学复调。在普兰卡战争中，这些得以流传的作品不过是冰山浮出水面的一角——更多佚名化名的诗篇在地下印刷机的油墨中诞生，更多未被记录的对话在占领区的咖啡馆里消散。

编纂本书时，我们避免将作品按国籍、立场或文类严格区分。无论双方的官方历史叙述如何分歧，“辛梅里亚革命”本身已经成为两个国家不可抹去的历史符号，并仍将持久深刻地影响两国的文学界。

2022年底的“《征服》风波”后¹⁶，历史再一次提醒我们：辛梅里亚革命文学的历史从未真正结束。普兰卡战争的硝烟已经消散，然而被掩埋的呼喊、被遗忘的凝视、被焚烧的手稿，仍在辛梅里亚和普兰卡的土壤深处缓慢呼吸。

Description: At 1800 hours to 2200 hours on September 12th of every year following 1970, a visual anomaly resembling a young woman with white garb reminiscent of the time period is seen by drivers walking on a stretch of the I-905 highway closest to the Otay Mesa. Interviews were done with a cover as a paranormal research and hunting magazine have yielded information that all drivers with visual confirmation of the anomaly heard looped renditions of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler and "Every day Is A Winding Road" by Sheryl Crow through their radio speakers regardless of station, working radio condition, or volume. Interviews also revealed drivers who stopped for the entity found they were alone, and the entity had reappeared in their rear view when they continued driving.
Reactionary Measures: Similar stories of women wearing white on long stretches of road in other regions have been fabricated and spread online to obfuscate the anomaly as urban legend.

Reactionary Measures: Reports and evidence of the event have been wiped from numerous media platforms to prevent dissemination of the event. Amnestics were administered to the neighborhood via chemtrails and manual administering. The neighborhood and nearby areas are currently under Authority supervision. The media was as well fed a story of a minor 2.5 magnitude earthquake which was explained to have only been felt by very few people.

Reactionary Measures: Reports of the event were wiped from all media platforms. All civilians involved in the event were administered amnestics. Parents of the children who were terminated during the event were given amnestics to believe that their children died in a car crash.

Reactionary Measures: The Children of Nihil members were reported to the public as members of the Ku Klux Klan, and that they were killed during an unnamed string of police raids. No members of the minor GoI were ever found.

Ernesto was later found dead within his apartment. The body appeared to have been crushed by an unknown force. Investigations into the parking lot Ernesto entered has brought no results.

She enters the car and begins to drive above the local speed limit. Coleen begins to panic as she begins to accelerate her car rapidly. All of a sudden cameras show her car rising high in the air and landing somewhere off the I-95. The camera then shows Coleen exiting the car. As she exits she look around. A large blurry mass is seen picking up Coleen out of the cameras view. EMTs found the wreck of the car 27 meters off the main road. Coleen's body has yet to be found.
Reactionary Measures: Authority agents have confiscated the video footage and are currently investigated the area.

Linda takes out her camera and begins to take a picture of the feces pile and turns away from the pile. The pile begins to shift as a humanoid entity composed of human feces emerges from the pile. The entity pounces on to Linda and begins to pull onto her jaw. A loud snap is heard as the entity completely rips the jaw off Linda. Linda begins to writhe as the entity begin to shove its hand down Linda's throat. The entity completely shoved itself into Linda's body. Once the entity has fully entered Linda's body, a brown substance begins to leak from her eyes and mouth. Linda's body slowly moved up as she looks up toward Adam's camera. Two men holding assault rifles equipped with silencers approach Linda's body and fire several rounds into her legs. Linda falls to the ground as the camera zooms into see that the entry wounds oozed a brown liquid. The two men, now identified as Samuel ██████ and Daniel █████████, both operatives for OESA, approach the body and pour what is assumed to be gasoline. The body is lit ablaze as the agents begin to block the entrance to the alleyway. The video ends when one of the agents look up at the camera. The video was uploaded to YouTube.
Reactionary Measures: N/A. The agents were able to apprehend Daniel █████████ and administer a form of amnestics. The video was taken down from YouTube and a copy was saved onto the Authority's database.

Description: On 01/22/2019, a three (3) meter tall humanoid entity with a feminine appearance and an elongated head walked into the facility. The entity was dressed in a white wedding dress covered with multiple small flora. Guards and other personnel within the facility did not report detecting the entity. It is hypothesized that the entity caused an antimemetic effect that caused people to ignore the presence of the entity. The entity made its way to the center of the facility toward a group of Authority researchers. The entity made its way through the group and stopped in front of Researcher Davidson. The entity opened its jaw and bit off Researcher Davidson's head. Personnel surrounding the deceased researcher begin to panic as security enter the room. The entity took another bite from the body and then threw the body onto a wall. The entity then proceeded to exit the facility.
Reactionary Measures: The entity has not been found. A funeral has been planned by personnel close to Researcher Davidson. Personnel have attempted to contact Davidson's wife, but no response has been received. Investigation of Davidson's household reveals his wife, Sarah ████████, has been missing for three weeks prior to Davidson's death.

Once the team made it within 20 meters of the anomaly, 5 tall armored reptilian bipeds exited the spatial anomaly and began to attack the task force. The task force were ill prepared and sustained heavy casualties, but were able to terminate 4 of the 5 reptilian entities. The remaining entity was able to grab one of the task force members and drag the member through the spatial anomaly. Once the entity fully entered the anomaly, the anomaly dissipated.

The Execution unsheathes a shamshir⁵.
Executioner: Praise Allah!
All visible armed men repeat the phrase "Praise Allah" in unison.
The Executioner begins to hack at Daniel ███████‘s neck with the shamshir. Daniel ███████ Is assumed terminated and falls to the ground.
The Executioner makes Sarai ██████, but as he is about to execute Sarai, Daniel's body begins to shake and convulse.
Unknown Terrorist: Look!
The body of Daniel begins to sprout multiple fleshy appendages that resembles the legs of Loxosceles reclusa. The legs begin to lift Daniel's body into the air.
Executioner: Kill the abomination!
Many of the armed men in the footage point their weapons at the entity, designated UE-Charlie-098-1. The Executioner slams the blade of the shamshir into Sarai's head and pulls out a pistol, but is impaled by UE-Charlie-098-1.
Sarai's body can be see convulsion and the same appendages can be seen sprouting through Sarai's head. The new entity, designated UE-Charlie-098-2, begins to terminate the other members of the Church of Malthus. The terminated members begin to convulse and similar entities begin to take their place. UE-Charlie-098-1 is seen mutilating and terminating multiple armed men. UE-Charlie-098-2 is seen ramming into the camera knocking down the camera to the floor.
The footage now shows a black helicopter with the █████ logo landing near the scene, with multiple armed men exiting the vehicle and subsequently terminating the terrorists. The █████ personnel turn their attention to UE-Charlie-098-1 through UE-Charlie-098-5 and begin to engage them with incendiary weaponry. The weapons are highly effective and terminate the entities.

At 0315 hours, the three individuals returned to the elevator cab which then proceeded to vanish.
Reactionary Measures: The Vatican has relinquished all relevant CCTV footage over to Authority agents. Footage is currently stored at site-007. Efforts to identify the three individuals and track down the thirty-two missing Vatican documents remains underway.

At 0308, the phone inside the booth began to ring, prompting Officer ███ ████ to exit his vehicle. Officer ███ ████ then proceeded to enter the phone booth and answered the phone. Immediately after picking up the phone, the door to the booth closed and Officer ███ ████ is heard screaming for several minutes. At 0325, the door to the booth opened, revealing it to be empty.
Reactionary Measures: Dashboard camera footage seized by embedded Authority personnel before it could be made public. All individuals involved in the investigation of Officer ███ ████'s disappearance were administered amnesics. Officer ███ ████'s disappearance remains an unsolved cold case. The phone booth in the footage was destroyed before it could be investigated and as such, no additional information is available at this time.

Description: On December 31st, 2012, a statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe began to emit white light from its cracks. This event caught the attention of the six civilians attending the church. One civilian, Amanda Daniella Torres, recorded the event on her phone. Over the course of 30 minutes more cracks began to form on the statue until the statue exploded and a young middle eastern woman fell out of the statue. All civilians within the church gathered around the woman and fell to their knees in prayer. Mrs. Torres would upload the events on YouTube. Authority web-based assets found the video and two Authority agents were dispatched into the area.
Reactionary Measures: All civilians present at the event were administered Amnestics. The video of the event was removed off Youtube. The middle eastern woman, designated LO-███, was transported to the local Authority site without issue.

According to Site-Mars-01 personnel, the entities stood 30 meters away from the site. Recording devices were able to pick up on vocalization produced by the unknown entities. These vocalizations soon turned into coherent languages that were spoken by the personnel at Site-Mars-01. The following is the recorded audio log a recording device set near the location of the entities prior to their arrival:

A rover was launched from the site to pursue the entities. The rover pursued the entities into a sinkhole located 20 km away from Site-Mars-01. The rover observed the entities fall on all four of their appendages, causing their Extravehicular Mobility Units to rip and break at various locations. The entities began to crawl into the sinkhole. The rover was sent to investigate the sinkhole, but upon arrival to the edge of the hole, a skinny three digit hand grabbed the rover and pulled it down into the sinkhole. Contact with the rover was lost.

A rover is launched from Site-019 toward UE-Alpha-031. UE-Alpha-031 notices the rover and begins to use sign language to communicate with the observing personnel. The following is the only recorded footage of UE-Alpha-031:

UE-Alpha-031: Hello.
UE-Alpha-031: You want lemonade?
[UE-Alpha-031 stares at the rover.]
UE-Alpha-031: I don’t have all day. Do you know how hard it is to get a lemonade stand on the moon?

The spacecraft releases a rover above RPC-███ causing the entity to awaken. The rover was swatted away by RPC-███, but this seemed to trigger an explosion within the rover which severely damaged RPC-███. Over the course of 144 hours, RPC-███ bled profusely. Shortly after, RPC-███ was reported as neutralized by the rover.
Reactionary Measures: Due to the neutralization of RPC-███, ideas on how to repurpose the Authority rover are under consideration.

During Loki-I duration within the unknown reality, the satellite orbited a large planetoid composed completely of calcium. The planetoid appeared to emit white light from its own surface. Loki-I is currently under study.

At the motel, Agent White tried to conduct an interview with the entity, but it proved unsuccessful as the entity repeatedly attempted to proclaim its "love" for Agent White. Agent White enacted standard ███ termination protocols before the RPC-███ entity entered its ███-A stage. The remains of RPC-███ was incinerated to prevent corruption of the local wildlife.

今早，有人从楼上跳下去了，也许是坠下去的，我不清楚。

三楼以上的人们被响声惊醒，像蝗虫一样探出头，头顶镶着冷冷的白炽灯，很刺眼，我看不见。她坠落的时候，我看到她平静的脸色与嘴角的伤痕。披头士的 Hey Jude 放了几百遍，或者更多，以至于有时候我觉得唱片机会把它磨碎。带着这番念头，我起身向唱片机走去，也可能是唱片机正向我走来。当时我正拨开指针，抚摸着唱片凹凸的纹路。如果它被执意刻出沟壑，是没人能抚平的，我知道，我知道。然后我看到她的坠落，在我脑海里这样清晰，清晰的正如我的存在本身，但我忘记了，她的衣着，她的年龄，她的姿势，甚至她的声音。

一个人下坠的姿势有很多，我曾认识一个舞蹈演员，她说人的坠落就像起舞，只是我们知道为何起舞，但不知道为何下坠。我的同学，当了一个无名的职员，对我说他梦到过上升，他失重般浮起，困在稠密的泡沫里，然后在梦里他开始起舞。几个月后，他从公司楼顶坠下，在池塘里溅起水花，可惜的是我没看到稠密的泡沫，只有涟漪。他的葬礼与他的生活一样沉默。那天我回家时，看到太阳光晃着白瓦露出刺眼的光芒，世界成了一幅巨大而失真的过曝图画，烦闷的空气徒劳地捋着树枝。我没看到死者，只看到他抛锚的汽车。清醒的司机，安分的乘客，运转正常的汽车，行驶在平坦的道路上，这时候，死于车祸真是最无理性的死法。

我看到司机，他还活着，被人围住，每个人的头顶都戴着白炽灯。我还是没看到死者，他也许已经开始在无意识的边缘起舞，像那晚我在剧院见到的，我的舞蹈演员朋友所跳的那支舞。她叫玛蒂尔达，或者叫奥菲利娅，也有可能是纳里亚德尔玛莉索兰·赫尔瓜迪亚纳，我记不清了。但是她舞跳得很好，我当时可能正捧着一束鲜花走进演员后台，她化妆室的门，向我们所熟悉的一样，盖着白布。我叩开门，她亲昵地吻我的脸颊。

“生日快乐”，她拿起化妆桌上的礼物，用粉格布裹起来，递给我。我接住了它的重量，仔细掂量了一番，看到了她的笑脸。奥菲利娅端详了一会儿，又吻了上来。

先是闭眼时目之所及的黑暗，然后我感到她柔软的双唇，还有她唇间湿热的空气，最后是她满是唾液的蠕动的舌头，像被吞食的蚯蚓在你嘴里被排斥着。一个人将吃饭时沾着各种食物的舌头伸到另一个人口腔里，带着口水与那个人的气息，这种行为让我恶心。等我睁开眼时，我庆幸一切终于结束了。她心满意足地朝我挥手告别，我在回家的路上被司机车上的音乐吵得心神不安。那天晚上没有人坠落。她给我发消息，问我明天下午有没有时间出去吃饭。我同意了。

天色渐晚，应该还有猫叫。那时候是黄昏，而不是下午。所以实际上傍晚我才动身，前往街角那座褪色的咖啡馆。我没见过那样拥挤的地方，瓷器的碰撞声挤得人无处下脚，他们会伴着嗡嗡响的音乐毫无美感的舞蹈。几个人约定好要在那里欢聚，事实是他们每个人都心里想着些什么，他们不知道因为什么好不容易打开了话题，所以也不知道怎么才能结束无聊的对话。每个人都急于展示自己的生活，寻章摘句。我看着他们乏味的话语堆满我的桌子。

玛蒂尔达、奥菲利娅，或者叫纳里亚德尔玛莉索兰·赫尔瓜迪亚纳微微一笑，仿佛看出我窘迫的处境。她的笑容并不来自今晚的猫声或者落日，也不来自那个整晚重复的无聊曲子，而是来自在她头里纠缠不清的线团，是突触碰在一起时候的电流。我听到她内心的呐喊，听到那些电流去向哪里。呐喊意味着承认，承认她行为的无助，承认他们寻章摘句的徒劳。我应该是听到了她的声音，但是那可能不只是她的声音，也可能不是她的声音。我不知道。

“那你知道些什么呢？亲爱的”。我看着她的嘴边还有咖啡渍，口腔里的唾液和咖啡混在一起，像无数条蛆虫那样恶心地扭动。

我终于想起那人摔在地上的姿势，不是扁平如一幅画像，而是有厚度的。她可能是侧着身子，也可能不是。总之她的头流出了血，蜿蜒成河，以至于三楼以下的人家都因为洪灾而不得不搬离。我看到三楼以上的人们斜睨着那滩水，或者那滩泥，随便你怎么说。如果你将它盛在碗里，给任何人看，谁也不知道那是人。我觉得奇怪，既然我们身边的人都那么活着，为什么会忽然变成那种粘稠物呢。

我摸着金属的桌子，上面还有数不清的划痕，昏暗的灯光照在上面，沿着划痕溜走。还有松动的地板砖，也可能是她的鞋。然后我打量着一旁轻轻挥动双手聊天的人，对面的一个女人戴着高高的头巾，身旁的男人仿佛带着眼疾。我听不见他的声音，但是他拙劣地对仰慕之人在行为上的表演，以及那些从不知道哪里看来的金句，让我不知道他为什么会活着。我只感觉它是我不安的兄弟。

“我不知道。”

“亲爱的，你对这个话题不感兴趣吗。”

“不，根本没有话题。承认不知道也是承认，承认就意味着承认，承认自己的无知，承认无知的无谓，承认我们从不具有的模糊的能动性，承认自己生活的那种毫无用处的激情，甚至承认我们根本没有生活。就是这样。正是这样精妙的排比句，一定在那个人阐述道理的语料库中。可他不能理解这句话的意思，就像他甚至不知道他自己为什么正在活着一样。我只知道这样，就像你总相信你自己，或者我，任何一本书，或者任何一句话，或者任何一个名字叫做阿布拉克萨斯的混蛋能够拯救你，让你拥有新的生活一样。可是在我们的生活之外，再也没有第二种生活了。即使你执着于某种目标，它也完全没道理会实现，即使你只是执着于能否在楼下买到一瓶水。当命运敲门的时候，难道不是我们赖以安息的睡眠被无情剥夺了吗？好人也难免杀人或者被杀，就是这样。”

值班登记簿摊在门口柜台上，日期那一栏被涂改过。笔迹潦草地写着“变更三年·第三季度”，他在上面签上名字。桌上摆着今天要处理的文件，一叠整齐的《秩序安全例检表》和一份红头的《行人异动汇编》。红头那份厚一些，角落的订书针已经锈了。每一页表格都密密麻麻，尽是数字和缩写：“轻度违规事件 37 起”，“未成年违规事件16 起”，“肇事尝试（未遂）4 起”。他在每一行右侧以稔熟的笔触签上核对人的名字，又把每次行人违反秩序的凭证贴进异动汇编中，剪刀和胶水，变更前离不了，变更后也离不了，自己还要跟它们打不知道多少年的交道呢？瓦罗只有苦笑。

“换班了？”礼让冷不丁一句，这家伙现在正靠在椅背上，一边盲打键盘一边喝着什么东西。“是，换班表又乱了，本身在白班的。”礼让举起瓶子：“那本来还想推荐你这个补剂的，治日盲。”瓶内的浊浆在微弱的灯光下显出绯红。“算了，”瓦罗摇头，“上次那种让我心脏过速了一整晚。”

打印机在角落里嗡嗡地响着，伴着某种深夜的虫鸣。

他继续往下翻，读到一条备注：

“经确认，肇事者使用木制物品进行直刺。未造成实质伤害。建议归类为模仿行为。”

他忽然想起几年前刚接手这份工作的时候，那时城市还没这么安静。街上要巡逻，有广播，街头巷尾漆刷着强调秩序和宵禁的标语。得益于自己和同事们的辛勤工作，现在倒是一切都理顺了，街上巡逻稍息，广播宣讲停止，无休止的粉刷和破坏标语的斗争也被压缩到一隅，一切从未如此秩序井然，连行人管理也变得如此无害。

他揉揉额角，喝了一口桌上的水。那水有点甜，总感觉不该有味道。

午夜一点五十，瓦罗站起身伸了个懒腰。

楼外的街道泛着一片蓝灰，偶尔传来清扫车的机械声。

他透过窗，看见对面大厦的反光屏还亮着——上面滚动着一句标语：

“稳定，是一切恢复的前提。”

他看了几秒，没什么感想。屏幕的光照在他脸上，映出淡淡的血色。

电脑传来提示音：“夜间健康抽检报告未完成，请及时补录。”他随手点开，依次填写：

屏幕底部跳出灰色提示：“建议减少紫外接触。”

他关掉页面。

礼让多半是干完了手头的活，已经偷懒睡着了，靠在椅背上。那瓶红色补剂只剩半瓶。瓦罗舔舔上下唇，不知为何感到一阵饥饿——不是从胃里传来的，而是从嗓子深处，干涩得让人难受。他喝了口热水，咽得很慢，像是将这部分饱腹感在它的源头代偿。

凌晨两点四十，他收好档案。值班登记簿最后一行需要签退，便写下时间：“2:43”。电梯下行时的嗡鸣声在封闭空间里放大，和他缓慢的脉搏共鸣着。

秋风自大楼间钻过，某种旧习致使本能地拉高衣领。街角的霓虹还亮着，红光间或闪烁。路面上有淡淡的深色痕迹，被清扫车的刷子反复碾过，最后被洗成透明。远处似乎有些行人喧闹的声音，既然尚且不是自己的外勤值班夜程，还是避让为好。

他走了一会儿，忽然觉得眼皮有点沉。抬头看，天边泛起一线灰白。时候未至，大概不是黎明，只是光污染吧？他想，于是转开视线，继续往前走。

又是一夜过去。

结束了一晚超额夜班工作的卢森·瓦罗步履缓慢，肩膀略微下垂。早晨发放的例行补剂愈发稀薄，他意识到自己在做某种可持续性的工作：在册行人越多，补剂的配给则越稳固可靠。但是眼下的事也对他自己更要紧：即使在深秋的日照之下，他的体温也比夜间高了几度，稀薄的汗液覆盖皮肤而又蒸发。每一步都堪称蹒跚。

街道异常安静。自动清扫车缓缓经过，湿漉漉的痕迹反射着灰色的光。他抬头看了看街灯，原本应该在夜间工作的反光标识，在日光下显得刺眼而无用，补剂摄入不足带来的日盲症与虚弱远非意志可以克服。

拐角处传来轻微、密集的脚步声，瓦罗停下，耳朵微微倾向声音源头。四名未注册行人从暗巷里走出，动作整齐，手里握着金属器具，闪着银色光芒。

他本能地后退，但腿沉得像灌了铅，日光让肌肉反应迟缓，外勤和审问行人的经验在紫外线下也一扫而空。他是安全的？在永恒的生命的赐予下，从未有任何转变者受到过安全的威胁，这是社会将不适宜转化的青少年的抵抗轻描淡写对待的原因：他获得一份工作的原因。

未注册行人们围成半圆，动作缓慢而有仪式感。瓦罗看着那金属闪光落在自己胸前，在紫外线下沸腾着的血液骤然冰冷，呼吸变得浅而急。刺击发生，银光近乎无痛的穿透他的胸膛，他只感到一阵虚空般的空洞，身体便渐渐失去支撑。

尔后火焰被引燃，覆盖他的全身。

灰色的街道反射出橘红色光芒。烟雾带着轻微腥甜，焦糖与油料焚烧的气味充斥着鼻腔。早该知道的、早该处理的——瓦罗试图伸手去抓住什么，但只剩下炽热与空虚。行人们仍在远处观察，未有呐喊，未有庆祝，沉默正是仪式的终结。他的意识逐渐模糊，他的双眼映出天空被建筑切割出的灰蓝色矩形。白昼？白昼的错觉？

他是第一个在变更历后在抵抗运动中被摧毁的行尸，他过早的，亦有可能过晚的回到了他的来处：坟墓。倒下时没有任何挣扎。抵抗者离开，留下空荡街道和缓缓消散的火光。

秩序依旧存在，只是少了一个齿轮。

个人日记，2199年10月31日

二一九九年，卫星苏维埃共和国联盟海军庞大的现役舰队中，至少有三条列宁号。

如果算上所有曾经为社会主义祖国服役过的战舰，那卫星苏联有整整一打列宁号。

这些伊里奇号足够让列宁本人都为之赞叹，从红海军与工人阶级的骄傲，足有四百米长的斯普特尼克级首舰，再到苏维埃家园巡防舰队的旗舰，率领红色海军吹飞了Zidophant整个海军的光荣级三号舰。自苏维埃在星海中重生以来，每一条列宁号都对得起列宁这个名字。

但……要我说，这些船都比不上前些年在南门二新图拉空间站升空的加加林级二号舰。

年轻的中国人停下了键盘，望着全息投影屏幕上自己刚敲出的这行字发呆。

他顺手拿起手边一个倒满了黑色液体的玻璃杯，牛饮一口。理论上，这杯东西应该是茶。

既然已经凉透，自然没有香气。杯中茶漆黑如墨，入口极酽，除苦涩外毫无旁味，更没有加康波特中和这股怪味，同苏维埃任何加盟国对好茶的标准都隔着整条银河。

与其说是茶，不如说是一帖治疗困倦的口服液。

对一个已经彻夜难眠的人而言，喝这种东西实在是有些破罐破摔的意味。

房间没拉窗帘，把头转到左边去，隔着小行星居住站的透明穹顶，寻找东北方的一颗星星。

列宁号停在那里，小行星的同步轨道上，离他大概一万公里。

“叮咚……现在是2199年11月1日，您预定的今日行程为……八点，返回列宁号。”

语音助手的声音陡然炸响，被咖啡因过载的心脏差点停跳。

他甩甩头，继续把精力放在电脑前。

他压根睡不着。

十二个小时后，列宁号就要进行苏维埃第一次曲速试航，明天的这个时候，要么他们在目的地接受英雄般的欢呼，要么化为一枚流星以超光速掠过宇宙，天知道要越过多少光年才能停下。

在过去的一百多年间，苏维埃的太空旅行一直主要仰仗于智能生物协会盟友们赠与的时间调速引擎，这些精妙的异常装置一旦启动，飞船周边空间的时间流速都会被极低成本的加快数千乃至数十万倍，使飞船看起来就像在超光速航行。

基于这种原理维持超光速巡航的飞船会实打实的积累时间留下的损伤，因为在它们自己的参照系中，这些船只实际上在太空中漂了成千上万年而非外界参照系认为的一两个星期——因此，苏维埃的太空物流系统不仅需要花费一笔极度昂贵的能源费用来保障自己的乘员在整场太空旅行中都处于低温休眠，也绝不能运输任何会在“短短”几万年内就朽坏到不堪使用的物品，漫长时间尺度上积累的程序错误也会让大多数苏维埃殖民地配备的强人工智能书记员无法履职，

这种糟糕的物流手段塑造了苏维埃祖国奇特的经济生态——每一个殖民地都是一个拥有数百万人口，经济和政治上都自给自足的小型公社集群，而每个殖民地上落地的数千个殖民者都必须携带海量的机械设备和备件来应对他们在新家园的前几年，因为他们不仅要生产足够自己果腹的粮食（超低温冷藏七万年的粮食自然吃不死人，但冷藏足够让整个殖民地维持生计的粮食需要的能源开销至少十倍于星舰航行所需）必须编制自己的大规模民兵来抵抗外星反动派的袭扰和入侵（红海军舰队需要休眠的单位数以百人计，而陆军装甲师一次休眠的单位至少是万人，需要冷冻这些人并保存他们的武器也需要天文数字的能源支出），为了满足殖民地的防务和粮食需求，殖民地必须在解决吃饭问题后立刻训练他们的孩子或他们自己投身机械制造来满足公社对工业品的需求。

某种意义上说，苏维埃祖国的经济并没有她在宣传中所夸耀的那么团结一致——也没有她太空中资本主义敌人所抹黑的那么“集权而毫无人性”

而列宁号……列宁号的这次航行将改变一切。

列宁号装备的是一种试验阶段的低成本曲速引擎，只要产生曲速空间泡，剩下维持空间泡的能量都将直接从时空结构中借取，祖国的飞船在空间泡中飞行，而空间泡本身会带着星舰以超过光速的速度在宇宙空间中迅速行动，无需时间加速，无需千年沉睡，只要根据目的地的引力特征预设好信标，祖国的飞船在短短几周，甚至几天之内，就能抵达本地泡的每一个角落。

而作为宣传干事，他将跟随列宁号，亲身见证并记录下这前途未卜的航程。

他妈的，这种时候谁能睡得着？

年轻人起身拿起一把吉他，幸好苏维埃的建筑物墙壁足够隔音——哪怕他自弹自唱也不会没有人过来找他用物理讲道理。

“Земля в иллюминаторе,земля в иллюминаторе,Земля в иллюминаторе видна…”

那是在红海军流行的一首很老很老的歌，水手们唱着这首歌，希望能在星海之间交上好运。

这首歌少说也有一百多年历史，作词者甚至还亲眼见过地球。

距离启航只剩六个小时。

轮机长米哈伊尔在寂静的引擎舱里漂浮，心里总觉得还是有什么东西没搞好。

他在红海军服役了整整三十年，他管过的船从未出过问题，但他还是想再把这套新引擎从头到尾全都检查一圈——

这可不是那些用了上百年，抓出来随便哪个技术兵都能闭着眼睛拆装检修的时间加速引擎，整个舰队都是头一次使用这种设备，万不可轻视，出发之前必须准备万全才行。

同志们各就各位！米哈伊尔按下对讲机，扯开嗓子大喊：“出发前再做一次检查！”

四下里把自己挂在仓壁上休息的工程师、科学家和技术工人们听见老米哈伊尔的喊声，短暂的花了一阵子解开安全绳把自己从仓壁上摘下来，扶着管线、蹬着墙飘向自己的战位。

“一组就位！”

“二组好！”

“三组准备完毕！”

报到声此起彼伏，老米哈伊尔看了看手上的表，笑了一下——大家的手脚都很麻利，那很好。

“按照标准流程来！不要有包袱，别紧张，一组电容准备！”

老米哈伊尔看着面前屏幕上代表电容组的进度条由黄变绿，从这里看电容没有问题……

“一组报告，电容无故障！”

绕着跃迁电容器的技术员抬起头来，举起手代表一切无异常。

超导电路无故障，电容放电一切正常！

跃迁空间泡成型中，空间曲率数据无异常！

列宁号全舰逐渐扭曲，一点点在太空中淡去外形，列宁号的位置上只剩下一片隐约的光学畸变。

空间泡覆盖完成，用时0.27秒，在容许范围内！

罗经舰桥的重力雷达正确发送停机指令，电容器放电后解除跃迁。预计还有十五秒！

五、四、三、两、幺——

倒计时归零，星舰在太空中重新凝为实质。

如果在远处看的话，它不过是短暂消失又静静重现。

“辛苦了各位，其他组可以休息了。”米哈伊尔拍了拍手，紧绷的肩膀一下松弛下来，“技术支持组留一下，我们趁现在再把运行报告过一遍……”

船员们再把自己用安全绳挂回墙上，这样一动弹，有些人还能抓紧睡一觉，但也有人已经全无睡意，任由兴奋或忐忑在寂静中弥漫。

不知谁先低声哼唱起来，过了一会，其他技术员们也就跟着低声唱起来……

“Грустим мы о земле - она одна…”

百多年前的地球故乡不复得见，她的孩子们今天就要远航。

还有最后五分钟，所有人已经登舰。

乘着快子通讯网络，列宁号在虚空中待命的影像被广播到联盟的每个公社。

十六亿双眼睛的注视如同实体，施加在舰长达兹德拉佩尔玛的身上，年迈的女舰长感到胸口传来一股紧缩感，就像她第一次参加红海军的战斗巡逻时一样，像她参加HIP65426b海战时一样，像她第一次成为母亲和祖母时候一样……

她双手握紧舰长席两侧的扶手，感受脚下磁力靴用力将自己的身体钉在金属地板上。

列宁号没有启动人工重力，因为她和许多其他船员认为无重力状态适于思考。

手心全是汗，因为持续的用力，她双手颤抖而泛白。

“舰长……”大副凑到她的耳边，轻声汇报，“还有四分钟。”

舰长抬头，忽视那些记者们架设的，遍布舰桥的镜头，目光越过舷窗投向群星。

银白色的舰首指向亘古不变的璀璨繁星，犹如一柄出鞘的利剑，但舰长脑中仍然不自觉的泛起那样一个画面——无声的人群如同潮水，在巨大的红旗下沉浮。

舰长松开了一只扶手，她的上半身随之轻微后仰又轻微俯下，她的手指停留在向全舰发令的开关之上。

十六亿人的命运，此刻凝聚在这艘沉默的钢铁巨舰之中，静卧于舰长纤细的双指之下。

三分钟。

两分钟。

一分钟。

双指按下按钮。

舰长深深吸了一口气，舰桥的气味总是这样，混杂着人身体的潮气、空气净化器的清冽和锐利的金属味道。

“列宁号全舰，这里是舰桥，现在开始进行第一次曲速航行。”

“罗经舰桥准备完毕。”

“轮机舱准备完毕。”

“常规引擎点火，两舷微速前进。我们离开同步轨道。”舰长发令，随即感到一种轻柔的力量在把她往后推去。

列宁号的四台核火箭微微亮起，投射出稀薄却迅速的离子流。

“姿态调节喷口启动，指向预定方向。”

星舰周身喷出星点蓝色火光。

舷窗外的星空缓缓旋转又停下。

舰长坐回了舰长席。

“两舷中速前进，全体作抗冲击准备！曲速引擎进入开机程序！”

核火箭蓝光大盛，船舱被引擎震得嗡嗡作响，像是旧电影里地球夏季暴雨前低沉的雷声，飞船加速的惯性把每个人牢牢压在席位上。

“这里是轮机舱……曲速电容充电完成，曲速引擎启动倒计时……三、二、一！”米哈伊尔低沉沙哑的声音顺着舰内通讯网络传来。

米哈伊尔的声音刚落下，引擎的轰隆声就停止了，让人难以呼吸的推背感也随之陡然消失。

舰桥重新陷入五分钟前的那种寂静。

紧接着，舷窗外的星辰开始扭曲、流动、融化。那些亘古不变的冰冷光点，被一种无形的力量拉长、扭曲，化作亿万道绚烂的彩色丝线，在舰身两侧飞速掠过。虚无缥缈的空间此刻仿佛变成了奔涌的河流，而列宁号正位于这条光芒瀑布的最前沿。

通讯频道里，大家一并唱起来。

这些连祖辈都在居住站中生长的人们高唱着从未见过的地球。

尽管那个人类的摇篮已经退到小说、古代歌曲和旧电影里，退为一个虚无缥缈的梦。

一首曲毕，列宁号舷窗外又是漫天繁星，只是它已经在三分种内越过0.2光年，从半人马座a星A的居住站出发，停泊在半人马座a星C的环绕轨道上。

那颗暗红色的小太阳在舷窗外沉默的燃烧。
